On 16 Jan 2020, a delegation from the UNSW comprising the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Nicholas Fisk, PVC (Research Infrastructure) Associate Professor Grainne Moran, and SARCCM Director Professor Xiao Hua Wang, and other three staff from the UNSW Sydney visited Ocean University China (OUC), Qingdao.

In the morning, a welcoming meeting was hosted by the Vice-President of OUC, Professor Huajun Li. Prof Huajun Li reviewed and praised the cooperation on the academic research and student exchange between the UNSW and OUC in the past decade. The OUC will continue and expand the cooperation with UNSW and will invite more scholars to visit OUC in the future.

Professor Nicholas Fisk appreciated the warm hosting from the OUC; introduced the international ranking for both UNSW and OUC in recent years; and praised the cooperation achievement between two universities, especially those made by the SARCCM.

SARCCM Director Prof. Xiao Hua Wang and Director in OUC Prof. Xueguang Ma reviewed the cooperation achievement from the SARCCM in the past decade and planned to hold an academic symposium in 2020 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the SARCCM.
