SARCCM has received the UNSW-Tsinghua Collaborative Research Fund 2016: The proposed project will develop a cohesive sediment transport model for turbid urban ports and harbours in Australia and China.  We propose to achieve this objective by coupling Tsinghua’s flocculation model with UNSW-Sed to explicitly simulate flocculation processes. Assistant Professor Shiming Xu and Associate Professor Fanghua Xu from Institute of Earth System Modeling, Center for Earth System Science will lead the project from Tsinghua University. A Tsinghua student will enrol in UNSW Canberra as PhD candidate to conduct this project.
