A/Prof. Xiao Hua Wang and Mr Dehai Song also gave oral presentations at the IWMO 21-24 May 2012 which was hosted by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) Yokohama Institute. Dehai Song talked about his project about sediment transport in Changjiang Estuary. Dehai had won a travel grant from the conference to cover his airfare and hotel costs, and this grant was allocated on a competitive base. The IWMO is open to the international ocean modelling community. Hua chaired the modelling of sediment transport dynamics in ports, harbours and coastal environments session.
