Congratulations to Associate Professor Moninya Roughan for being awarded Chinese Fellowship

SARCCM is proud to announce that Associate Professor Moninya Roughan has been selected to spend time in China as a 'High-end Foreign Expert'.

A/Prof. Roughan is a SARCCM’s science team member from UNSW Sydney, and was chosen by the Chinese Recruitment Program of High-end Foreign Experts of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs for a fellowship which will allow her to spend six months in Shanghai over a three-year period.

She will be based at the 'State Key Lab' in Estuarine and Coastal Science at Eastern China Normal University (ECNU). State Key labs are recognised as the leading institute in a discipline. A/Prof. Roughan will also visit Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, and possibly the Ocean University of China (OUC), Qingdao, during this time.

SARCCM, ECNU and OUC are partners in the World Harbour Project led by SIMS and A/Prof. Roughan will be involved in the China node of the WHP, a tripartite initiative between SARCCM-SIMS-OUC and SARCCM-SIMS-ECNU, respectively.
